Purple tailed Mermaid

This is an illustration of a pretty mermaid with a purple tail. Ever since she came up to the surface, to explore dry land, she discovered roses! And ever since, roses became her favorite flower. She has never seen roses before, since they don't grow under the sea. She loves to hold those beautiful roses close to her heart. That was the idea that inspired this illustration. Created in pencils, pen and ink on bristol board and colored with watercolors.
